Photo Gallery LOOK AT ST. DOUBLE-WIDE NOW!!! On Sunday, July 1, 2007, Emerald Coast Lutheran's double-wide (St. Double-Wide), was dedicated as the new Fellowship Hall of New Vision United Methodist Church in Greenhead, Florida, north of Panama City. Pastor Paul and Cheryl attended the Dedication Service, which was followed by a catered dinner in the Fellowship Hall. The members of New Vision and many volunteers from the community have turned our former church into a beautiful Fellowship Hall which was badly needed by the congregation. The pictures below show the completely remodeled Fellowship Hall, entry, Youth room, Literacy Center, fully equipped kitchen and vanity in the ladies rest-room. In addition, the cross which was given to ECLC by St. Rita's Roman Catholic church in Santa Rosa Beach now sits atop the Worship Hall of New Vision UMC and has been repainted white. Also pictured below are Rev. Stephanie Cox and husband, Jack, of New Vision UMC, and Pastor Paul and Cheryl. The property that New Vision sits on is owned by the community and was dedicated to always be used by a Christian Church. When New Vision grows and builds a new facility, the land and buildings will be passed on to another congregation. This is definitely a step forward in ecumenism. In addition to the cross now serving three denominations, St. Double-Wide has now served four denominations during its history: Episcopal, Baptist, Lutheran and Methodist. With God's grace, may it continue to serve other churches and denominations in the coming years.
